TUBITAK National Observatory (TUG), Diyarbakır will host the Sky Observation Event this year.
The 3,000-year-old Zerzevan Castle, which is on the World Heritage Discontinuous List, has been in existence for 22 years. in Antalya will be another address of the Sky Observation Event.
Sky Observation Activity starts in Diyarbakir!
The countdown has begun for the event, which will be held in the middle of September 2-4, organized by UNESCO. 2021 International Diyarbakir Zerzevan Sky Observation Event, 3 thousand years of history in Zerzevan Castle will be performed.
Professional and amateur astronomers will examine at the 2021 International Diyarbakir Zerzevan Sky Observation Event, which will be held in harmony with the TUG.
Ministry of Industry and Technology, Ministry of Youth and Sports, TÜBİTAK, Turkish Space Agency (TUA) and Diyarbakır Governor’s Office and Karacadağ Development Agency will be the meeting point of astronomy enthusiasts.
In the event, where children can also participate with their parents, the opportunity to observe with telescopes will be offered in the company of professional astronomers.
The participants agreed that the sky observation will take place in Turkey, which is on the World Heritage Discontinuous List by UNESCO. one of the top 10 spots will examine the sky with experts at the 3,000-year-old Zerzevan Castle.
