Italeri has announced its latest batch of releases for October, and we’ve got a preview. The new release is the Fokker F-27 Maritime Patrol plane on a 1/72 scale. The kit includes markings for two Dutch Navy planes: an early-production plane with the original blue-grey color scheme, and a late-production plane with the new low-visibility gray color scheme.

The Fokker F-27 was developed in the 1950s as a maritime patrol plane for the Royal Netherlands Navy. It entered service in 1956 and remained in service until 1997. A total of 38 F-27s were built, including 36 for the Dutch Navy and two for the Indonesian Air Force.

The Italeri kit features detailed surface textures, recessed panel lines, and clear plastic windows. Decals are included for both Dutch Navy schemes.

Based on the legacy of the F/A-18 Hornet, the F/A-18F Super Hornet boasts improved performance, avionics, and weapons capabilities. It is a 21st-century warfighter.

The F/A-18F Super Hornet is a twin-engine, carrier-based multi-role fighter plane. It is the follow-on design to the F/A-18E/F and was first flown in 1995. The Super Hornet has been deployed in combat operations since 2001 and has participated in Operations Enduring Freedom, Northern Watch, Southern Watch, Iraqi Freedom, and War on Terror. The plane is also used by the U.S.

The T-34 was a Soviet medium tank that saw service during World War II. It was the most produced tank of the war, with over 84,000 built by the end of 1945. The T-34 was a very effective weapon, due in large part to its design. The 76 mm gun was able to penetrate German tanks, and the sloping armor made the T-34 resistant to enemy fire. The tank was also simple to produce and maintain, which made it a favorite of Soviet soldiers.
