The Subject: Sd.Kfz. 234/2 “Puma” Schwerer Panzerspahwagen

The Sd.Kfz. The 234 family was an armored vehicle developed in Germany and produced during World War II. Sd.Kfz. 234 was the first version and is most well-known. The 234/2 was fitted with a turret that featured a KwK39/1 5-cm tank gun, and a coaxial MG 42.1001010. This armament had been originally designed for the VK 1602 Leopard – a planned Panzer II tank. On July 1, 1942 the switch was made to this armament. Then, on November 2, 1944, 100 vehicles were produced with this equipment. Between December 1943 and the end of June 1944, 101 vehicles total were produced. Sd.Kfz. 234/2 was used from March 1944. The designation 234/2 has been used since March 1944. This subject is in the background. Kfz. The middle ground is a Sd. Kfz. 234/3 8-Rad and an unrecognized armored car in the background.

This version of the Sd.Kfz. This kit has the exact same exterior details as MiniArt’s full interior release last week, but without the interior. This kit is perfect for those who want a quick build without displaying all the detail. The golden items represent the photo-etch, while the blue ones show the various options, such as openable hatches, etc. Vision ports, stowage compartments are all just begging to be shown opened up and under inspection by the German owners or the new custodians in a post battle – or WWII scene.
You can see the photo-etch parts of the kit shown in the gold shaded parts of the illustrations…
The basic internal turret parts are shown in this illustration. This simple illustration shows the mount, the interior of the radio and cans for commanders as well as the inner parts of the 5 cm L/60 main gun. The Puma’s 5 cm L/60 main gun is moulded in full, showing the whole mechanism here.

The “Jerry” cans on this kit are attached with photo-etch.

Some do not like this, but with just the right amount of glue, these sandwich together tyres give you a full tread with no sanding seams involved. This kit also features independent suspension, tunable wheels and tyres.
