I’ve never considered myself a tiger guy, but when I saw the announcement that Takom were releasing 3 x Tigers I was a little excited. It was the first time I built one in 1/35 scale. I had previously done so in smaller sizes, but not in this preferred size. Two mid-production offerings, one depicting Otto Carius’s tank. There are three boxings in total. Two of these depict Otto Carius’s tank. These kits are stunning in their detail, and they have organic forms that look natural. They also come with a small amount of etch as well as a metal barrel.

Instructions are in the usually Takom style and my kit comes with 4 suggested schemes, with one of them being a command version.
At first glance I noticed there were a lot of options and decisions to be made through the build depending on what version of the tank you wanted to tackle, but there didn’t seem to be a lot of direction as to when you would choose one option over the other. It’s not a big deal, but the scheme typographical error that stated the vehicle was a mid-sized tank is a minor thing. It’s my goal to highlight the options and give you some information on when to use them. I am in no way an authority on Tigers or anything for that matter, so Id encourage you to do your own research, or you can simply just build it however you like.
