This papercraft pub is the McGurks Tavern. It was inspired by the architectural model in “Railroad Tycoon 3”, a 3D train simulation. The McGurk’s Tavern was inspired by an architectural model in the 3D train simulator “Railroad Tycoon 3”. I did not have the image, only the texture, of the building. I used my imagination to figure out the placement of each part. I got the textures off a site called Textures Resource. It’s a community of gamers who collect textures for video games on all platforms, including computers and consoles. They then organize them alphabetically. They use the textures for game modifications, but you will see that textures can also be used to create papercrafts with a bit of imagination. I would like to express my gratitude for the community, and in particular the “Eldomtom2” user who captured the texture that was used in the model. The entire model is only 1 printed page and it’s useful for wargames, dioramas or other uses. Have fun.
Este papercraft de um pub, o McGurk`s Tavern, foi livremente inspirado em um predio presente no simulador de trens 3D “Railroad Tycoon 3”.
Eu digo “livremente inspirado” porque eu so tinha as texturas do modelo, mas nao uma imagem do predio montado, entao tive que usar a imaginacao para tentar descobrir aonde deveria ir cada peca.
Eu consegui essas texturas em um site chamado Textures Resource (link no final deste post) que e uma especie de comunidade de gamers que coleta texturas de videogames de todas as plataformas (computadores e consoles) e as arquiva em forma alfabetica.
Eles usam essas texturas para fazer modificacoes em jogos, mas como voces podem ver nesta postagem, as texturas tambem sao muito uteis para papercrafts, basta um pouco de imaginacao.
Deixo aqui entao meus agradecimentos a toda a comunidade e especialmente ao usuario conhecido como “Eldomtom2”, que e o responsavel por capturar a textura usada neste modelo.
