This papercraft is a version of Subaru Impreza WRC 2008, a version for competition. It was created by Japanese designer MJK, and first published on Pepakura Gallery’s official community website. It was designed to participate in the 2008 World Rally Championship. The Subaru Impreza WRC 2008 featured the 2.0-liter Boxer engine with all-wheel-drive, which is a typical Subaru rally car feature. In the 2008 World Rally Championship season (WRC), the Subaru Impreza WRC did not achieve any constructors titles. The Subaru World Rally Team had a difficult season. Although they did well in some individual races, they could not win enough to compete for the title of constructor. The Impreza WRC continued Subaru’s success in rallying by following the legendary Impreza model that won numerous world rally championships. It featured several technological innovations including an improved all-wheel drive system, and aerodynamics that provided better control and stability on different terrains. The car was driven at the time by Petter Solberg and Chris Atkinson. Xavier Pons also drove the Impreza WRC 2008.
