HMH Publication Announces New Book on the Hawker Hurricane
HMH Publication is pleased to announce the upcoming publication of a new book in their Classic Aircraft in Detail series on the Hawker Hurricane. The book, titled Hawker Hurricane World War II Workhorse, is written by Graham Platt and is scheduled for release in 2024.
The Hawker Hurricane was one of the most important British aircraft of World War II. It was the first monoplane fighter to enter service with the Royal Air Force, and it played a vital role in the Battle of Britain. The Hurricane was also used extensively in other theaters of the war, including North Africa, the Mediterranean, and the Far East.
Platt’s book will provide a comprehensive overview of the Hawker Hurricane, from its design and development to its operational history. He will also discuss the different variants of the Hurricane and the many aces who flew it in combat.
The book will be lavishly illustrated with over 200 photographs and color profiles. It will be a must-have for anyone interested in the Hawker Hurricane or World War II aviation in general.
