This model was produced by Armour Models, a Slovakian company. The company makes a variety of unique and interesting vehicles in 1:35. In February, I was able to see SKOT’s 1:72-scale 3Dprinted prototyp at a model competition held in Rimavska sobota. I loved it even then. Commercial version was already ready and available on the Armor Models Stand at Mosonshow.

The OT-64 SKOT (Czech: Stredni Kolovy ObrnenyTransporter, Polish: Sredni Kolowy Opancerzony Transporter) is a floating,rubber-wheeled armored personnel carrier of Czechoslovak-Polish development, developed in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
The first prototype was completed in 1959, andin 1964 it was regularized in the Czechoslovak People’s Army and the PolishPeople’s Army. It was built in Poland at FSC Lublin. However, some parts, like the Tatra Engine and Praga Gearbox, were made in Czechoslovakia. Serial production was discontinued at the start of the 1970s. A total of 4,500 of these units were manufactured, of which a third was exported. It was used in local conflicts in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. At the beginning of the 2000s, the KTO Rysarmored personnel carrier was developed in Poland with a significanttransformation and modernization of the OT-64 for several tasks and variants, but only prototypes were made of the type.

Review of the Model:
When I first opened the box carefully packaged in corrugated cardboard, I was surprised to see that not only are the 3D-printed parts held in place by the supports but they were also printed inside a “box” so as to protect them from possible damage. They are nicely developed, and they do not have a lot of parts. The print quality is excellent. It is not possible to see the print layers (which can be a big advantage, especially at this scale). Each step is clearly shown in the construction guide. Strengths of the kti: Excellent 3D printing, finely crafted details, clear assembly instructions.
Weak points: My copy only had documentation inSlovakian language, but translating this shouldn’t be a problem for anyone intoday’s world, because “Google is your friend”
The set is definitely highly recommended forlovers of Eastern European themes, as it is considered a rarity in this scale!
Especially recommended for intermediate orexperienced modelers!
