Dora Wings P-47B 1:48 Scale Test Build

Ukrainian company Dora Wings has announced that they will soon be releasing a 1:48 scale model of the Republic P-47B Thunderbolt. They have shared images of the test build on their Facebook page. The P-47B Thunderbolt was a World War II era fighter aircraft known for its rugged construction and powerful engine. It was used by the United States Army Air Forces and several other Allied air forces. The quarter-scale model from Dora Wings is expected to be highly detailed and accurate, based on the images shared on their Facebook page.

The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt was a single-engine, fighter plane used by the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF) and other Allied air forces during World War II. The P-47B was the first production version of the P-47 and was introduced in 1941.
 
The P-47B was powered by a Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp radial engine, which gave it a top speed of around 430 mph (690 km/h). It was armed with eight .50 caliber machine guns and could carry a variety of bombs and rockets. It was also equipped with a bubble canopy for improved visibility and retractable landing gear.
 
The P-47B saw extensive service during World War II and was used in a variety of theaters, including the European Theater, the Mediterranean Theater, and the Pacific Theater. It was used for various missions, including ground attacks, escort, and fighter sweeps. The P-47B was known for its ruggedness and good performance and played a valuable role in the Allied victory in World War II.
