32-024 – Fairey Flycatcher Wooden Float


N9908/’2′ – Operated as a floatplane from HMS Hermes when on the China Station with 403 Flight in 1926-7.

  • N9889/’8′ – 403 Flight, HMS Hermes in 1926-7. It was used by 402 flight HMS Eagle until 1930. It is not known who the aircraft belongs to, since it has no serial number on either its fin or fuselage. It did, however, carry the Tudor Rose emblem of HMS Cumberland and a red and white chequered upper centre-section.
  • S1413 was from the last batch of Flycatchers to be ordered, specifically as catapult aircraft. It has been fitted with catapults spools for this purpose. The kit includes:

183 resin parts (32-024, wooden float)

  • 189 resin parts (32-025, wooden float with a wheel)

185 resin pieces (32-26 metal float).

  • 103 film elements.
  • 12 photo-etched components.
