Accurate Armour has released five new resin wheels for the Airfix Ferret kit.
A207 Ferret Wheel Set, Trakgrip Style
A208 Ferret Wheel Set, Trakgrip Style B Worn
Kits K118 to K122 and kit K126)
Included in the set are 4 realistically ‘bulged’ Dunlop Trakgrip Style A, 9.00″ x 16″ tyres fitted to 16 inch wheels of the split rim’ type. (Kits K118 to K122 and K126)
Contained in the set are 4 realistically ‘bulged’ Dunlop Trakgrip Style A, 9.00″ x 16″ tyres fitted to 16″ wheels of the ‘split rim’ type plus a spare wheel. The spare wheel mounting is also a storage container with an attached twist-on lid. The tyres are slightly bulging to reflect that these are ‘Run Flat’ tyres. They do not deflect much even under the weight of one ton per tyre as in the Ferret application. The bulging of the tyres is subtle to reflect that these are ‘Run Flat’ tyres and as such do not deflect greatly even under the weight of one ton per tyre as in the Ferret application.
Style A is available as a normal version (A207), as well as a worn version (A208) with a proportion of tyre tread worn away and evidence of scuffing and damage.

Goodyear A211 Ferret Wheel Set

Contained in the set are 4 realistically ‘bulged’ Goodyear Super Sand Flotation, 9.00″ x 16″ tyres fitted to 16″ wheels of the ‘split rim’ type plus a spare wheel. The spare wheel mounting is also a storage container with an attached twist-on lid. The tyre’s sidewall is detailed to the scale of the tyre and comes with a specially designed sprue that prevents bubbles. The tyres have been pre-bulked to mimic the weight of the model. It is not to be confused with the Aircraft balloon tyres fitted to Ferrets in Aden where the wings and stowage boxes were removed because of the oversized fitment.
