The M48A2 is a variant of the M48 Patton tank, a main battle tank used by the United States and other countries. The A2 version of the M48, which was introduced in late 1950s, was developed after the M48. The M48A2 featured improvements over the original M48, including a new fire control system and a more powerful engine.

DecalsImprovements made on the M48A2 from the M48A1 included a reconfigured engine deck, a simplified suspension system, and the use of external fuel tanks to increase the tank’s travel range. The M48A2 retained the M48A1’s 90-mm cannon and crew of four, but it also had a simplified suspension system. It was eventually phased out in favour of more modern tanks, such as the M60 MBT.
