The Merkava Mk.4M – an indigenous main battle tanks developed and manufactured by Israel – made its battlefield debut early 2011. The Merkava Mk.4M follows the design philosophy of Merkava, which focuses on crew survival and protection. The Trophy active protection system, developed by Israel’s Rafael Advanced Defense
Systems, is used to counter common battlefield threats like rocket-propelled anti-tank grenades. The system uses radar and optical sensors to detect incoming threats, calculate their trajectory and launch interceptors that destroy or deflect them at a safe range, protecting the vehicle against attack. This kit is based on previous 1/72 products and continues to use modular design. It also improves the building process. This kit includes fine decals too.
