The Me262 HGIII concept:
The Me262 HGIII was a redesign of the world’s first combat-deployed jet fighter, the Me262, with the aim of increasing its speed. HG stands for “Hoch-Geschwindigkeitsjager (high-speed fighter)”. Three stages were used to redesign the Me262. The canopy shape was changed in the first phase (HGI) to one that was streamlined, while the horizontal stabilizer received a swept back angle.
