HPM has released a correction set in 1:72 for the nacelle, cowls and PBY-4 Catalina by Academy Consolidated.
“Back in the office after an unexpected break, and we have a new set: the long-awaited correction set for the Academy Consolidated PBY-4 Catalina.
This High Planes set includes the parts needed to correct the undersized nacelles and cowls of the Academy Consolidated PBY-4 Catalina kit. It represents the commonest engine configuration for the PBY-4 with the oil cooling on the upper nacelle. Some PBY-4 aircraft, notably the RAAF’s, had the underside oil cooler that was used in the PBY-5 or PBY-6. For versions with the oil cooler under the nacelle, see our set HPA072092″.
