The Subject:

The Jaguar 1 is a tank destroyer used by the German Bundeswehr from 1978 to 2005 and by the Austrian Armed Forces, which deployed them in Panzerabwehrbataillon 1, from 1996 to 2006.

A West German Raketenjagdpanzer 3 Jaguar 1 tank destroyer.

Its design is based on the Bundeswehr’s Kanonenjagdpanzer, sharing the same lower hull and running gear. Raketenjagdpanzer 2 was developed in 1963 as a prototype for a missile tank destroyer. It had SS.11 SS.11-equipped missiles. The Jaguar 1 was used by the Bundeswehr tank destroyer unit until 1996. After that, the remaining units of the Jaguar 1 were assigned to mechanized infantry battalions and tank units. All Jaguar 1s had been retired by the end 2005 (Austria, 2006). The HOT missile of the Jaguar 1 could be fired under armour or NBC, and it was equipped with an automatic loading system and drum magazines that held eight missiles. The kit is the Raketenjagdpanzer Jag 1.

This will be a 2-in-1 version, with options for the early and late variants used by the German Bundeswehr and the Austrian Bundesheer.
