-Approximately 220 Spitfire Mk.Va were produced during 1941 as a stop-gap measure to counter the new German fighters being encountered by the RAF. The kit contains 142 injection-moulded parts – including 40 new parts. These include a windscreen, a hood, a Martin-Baker system for jettisoning the hood, a dual-height rudder, an instrument panel that includes rectangle and curved blind-flying panels, an elevator trim wheel, a snow guard, undercarriage engine controls, a composite pilot’s chair, IFF Mark II, port wingfillets featuring electrical connection, a Open & Closed cockpit Doors, Supermarine & CBAF engine top cowlings and undercarriage, DeHavilland & Rotol props and wheels with correct alignment. The 32 page illustrated manual includes high quality Cartograf Decals for three Spitfires Mk.Va, including the famous Douglas Bader.
