The Dingo 2 is a mine resistant ambush protected vehicle, an evolution of the Dingo 1, and named after a native dog of Australia. The vehicle is designed Krauss Maffei Wegmann, and is based on a Unimog U5000 chassis that has been enhanced. The upgrade provides better protection as well as increased payload over its predecessor. The Dingo 2 is available in short and long wheelbase versions, accommodating 4 or 7 occupants depending on the wheelbase.

DecalsPowered by a 215 hp diesel engine, the Dingo 2 features a central tire inflation system and a V-shaped hull with an armoured crew compartment. The armour offers protection from landmines and small-arms fire as well as artillery fragments. Additional armour can be added. This weapon station is also used in the Fennek armoured reconnaissance vehicle. It is used in Fennek’s armoured vehicle.
