The Kit: MiniArt’s 1/16th scale

This new 1/16th scale kit from Miniart depicts a Macedonian Guards Officer from the 3rd century B.C. This new sculpt recreates the style and details of Macedonian military officers of the 3rd century BC. It features authentic armour and a beautifully designed sword, shield, and spear. This figure is ideal for history lovers and modellers to create a stunning display of ancient military strength. Add this piece of history to your collection and bring the Macedonian empire to life.

Three sculpts for this figure’s head are on the sprue, with a bearded and smooth-faced soldier, shouting and moth closed.

The nekked buttocks are covered by his armoured skit, while his knees down are covered with greaves to the ankle.

The armoured skirt, or Pteruges (also spelt pteryges; from Ancient Greek pteruges

(pteruges) ‘feathers’), are strip-like defences for the upper parts of limbs attached to the armour and included here on this sprue. These small sprues contain the paaded armour for the chest and the Macedonian Pike (sarissa), with interchangeable spearheads. The Phrygian helmet was a type helmet that originated in Greece. The straps and fasteners for the helmet are on two sprues. The Argive Shield and left arm are on this smaller sprue.

The decal is on the decals.
