Fonthill Media published Jan Forsgren’s monograph, titled ‘The Messerschmitt Bf 110 Story.’
The Messerschmitt Bf 110, originally designed as a heavy twin-engine zerstorer. The Bf 110, which was first flown in 1935, served in many roles including day and night fighters, fighter-bombers, glider tugs, and reconnaissance aircraft. The Bf 110 entered service in 1938 and remained in service for the Luftwaffe until 1945. The Bf110 made its debut in Poland over 1939, where the Blitzkrieg tactics were perfect for the Bf110. The Bf 110 was also used extensively during the invasion of France, the Low Countries, and during the Battle of Britain. However, the Hurricanes and Spitfires caused severe losses during this battle. The Bf 110 could not be used for daylight operations. Bf 110 production had been reduced by 1941 in preparation for its successor, the Messerschmitt Me 210. Despite the failure of the Me 210, Bf 110 production continued. The book contains:

Many Luftwaffe crew recollections of flying the Bf 110 into combat in various theatres of war
