France Jeanne d’Arc helicopter carrier, formerly known as Resolution , after the French heroine in history–Joan of Arc named. The ship was built on 7 July 1960, launched in September 1961, and put into service on 30 June 1964. The Jeanne d’Arc is a widely used ship. It was originally designed as a training vessel, but it could be converted to an amphibious assault, helicopter carrier or troop transporter with a few modifications. When making troop transport, ships can carry a 700-man battalion landing their equipment.

The ship junction 182 meters long, 24 meters wide ship, draft of 7.3 meters; gear power unit 2 turbine axis, 40,000 horsepower; maximum speed of 26.5; 15 when the speed, endurance of about 10,000 kilometers or more. The hull is a one-piece part. Jeanne d’Arc aircraft carrier in 2000 carried out modernisation and removed aft 100 mm anti-aircraft artillery.
