This 1/72 scale MRC/Academy model kit is an exact replica of the JU-87 STUKA. The STUKA was first flown in 1935 and began production in 1937. The aircraft was equipped with a large landing gear, and it could dive bomb. The JU-87 proved to be a very effective weapon during WWII, especially in Poland, France, Greece and the low countries. The STUKA, with its fixed landing equipment, was destroyed by allied fighters during the Battle of Britain. It was then withdrawn and used to attack targets that were not heavily protected. In 194245, its main role was to provide close support on the Russian front. It was an excellent tank killer. The JU-87G-1 carried two 37mm cannons under the wings. STUKA production continued to be halted throughout the war. However, it was restarted because there were so few aircraft that could replace them. Academy’s kit features fully engraved panel details and rivets, a highly detailed cockpit, fixed landing gear and two 37mm Flak Cannons. Painting and decals enable the modeler to complete the pane as flow by the most decorated Luftwaffe pilot of WWII, Hans-Ulrich Rudel.Fully engraved panel lines

Customers say
Customers appreciate the model’s quality and detail. They find it a good kit with nice details and historical colors and markings. Many consider it a good value for money and easy to build. However, some customers have reported issues with poor build quality, cheap parts that break before glue can be applied, and difficulty in assembly. There are mixed reviews on the ease of assembly and fit.
