Curtiss P-40F/L

Curtiss P-40F/L

Special Hobby has released its 1:72 Merlin engined P-40F/L, with decals of the USAAF and SAAF aircraft.
The P-40 Warhawk/Kittyhawk was an integral part of USAAF’s and other allies’ air force throughout World War II. The P-40s were used on every battlefield of WW2. They were painted in a variety of interesting and varied colour schemes and adorned with the markings and colours of various forces. The only way the P-40F/L airframes are different from the other P-40 models is by their powerplant. They were fitted with a British RR Merlin. These aircraft were used in Africa, Italy, and the Pacific. These Fs and Lis were most well-known during the Torch Allied Landing in Africa. Our older kit is now reboxed and comes with three new decal sheets. The three-gun P-40L version can be easily made with the help of 3D printed parts portraying the different gun breech cover panels. The four-gun P-40L version can be easily made with the help of 3D-printed parts portraying the different gun breech cover panels.
