Special Hobby has rereleased its excellent Fiat G.50 1:32 scale model with updated parts, including new bombs and arrestor equipment.
The Fiat G.50 was inducted into service by the Regia Aeronautica before World War II even began, as its first prototype had been successfully tested during the Spanish Civil war. G.50bis was developed as a reaction to the earlier Italian fighter types which were not up to par with modern fighters. Fiat fighters could also be fitted with underwing pylons to allow them to perform ground attacks. The Fiat G.50bis/N with arrestor hook was to be deployed on Aquila or Sparviero carriers that were being constructed, but this never happened as they weren’t finished. This kit can be used to build either the fighter bomber or navalized G.50bis/N type. It comes with four styrene parts, a resin and 3D printed detail part (including an accurate replica of Fiat A.74 engine) as well as a fret of detailed etched pieces. The fighter bomber or the navalized G.50bis/N type can be built using this kit.
