How to guide Vol.3 – Mastering small scale Models
MrBlack Publications has released another how-to book. The book is about the conversion of Alex Clark in 1/72 to perfection small-scale models.
Alex Clark has made a detailed conversion to accurately represent an Iraqi Type 69 II in 1/72. As a basis, he used the AMMO Mig Jimenez AMIG-8502 T-54B mid production kit. Alex describes his conversion, upgrade and use of commercially available parts as well as his scratch-built components. The book contains 57 of a total 73 photos, which show not only how the assembly was done but also what the paint and weathering of the vehicle looked like. The detailed tour of a Type 69 II command tank preserved at the Bovington Museum, UK is accompanied by 27 photos taken in close up. Scott Dimmick gave permission for the photos to be published. Alex Clark wrote the captions. The 36-page section of this book was produced by the Mr Black Publications Team in collaboration with Stelios demiras. This is a mini-encyclopedia of what’s available on the market. About120 photos that show in detail the contents of the kits, photo-etched accessories, resin tracks and parts, plastic accessories, paints, weathering materials, decals sets, instruction guides and a lot of profiles for making some unique T-54/T-55/T-59/T-69 and all of their variants.Totally the book has about 200 photographs.
