The Hurricane Mk IIB/Trop is a British single-seat fighter aircraft developed during World War II. This is a modified Hurricane Mk I that was designed for tropical environments. It is a variant of the Hurricane Mk I, with modifications for use in tropical regions. Due to its heavier weight and the extra gun and bombs, the Mk IIB/Trop is noticeably slower than the Mk I. Its agility, however, allows it to be a good fighter. Cannons on the Mk.IIC/Trop proved effective in destroying the lighter armour plates of German tanks. The colour schemes in this kit. To counter the threat of tanks, the anti-tank solution consisted in equipping the aircraft with 40mm cannons in pods under the wings. The other weaponry was reduced to one Browning per wing with tracer for aim purposes. This kit contains over 100 parts. 6 Squadron, the first squadron equipped with this armament, were so effective that the squadron was nicknamed the “Flying Can Openers”.

It is built in Belfast by Harland and Wolff. It was originally intended to be a passenger ship for White Star Line, which operated a transatlantic service from Southampton to New York City. However, World War I forced her into becoming a hospital vessel. Unfortunately, the ship was lost during World War I in November 1916 after a mine in the Aegean sea exploded. The largest ship lost in the First World War was Britannic. Britannic is the largest vessel lost during the First World War.
