The sister plane of the Macchi M.C. Italeri will release the new Veltro MC.205 in October, based on Italeri 202 “Folgore”. We will examine a number of the features in this kit. The 205 Veltro was considered to be the most successful Italian fighter during World War II. Its evolution, the “Folgore”, retained its excellent aeronautical designs of its predecessors and, like the other fighters in the “Series 5” was fitted with a German Daimler-Benz DB605 Engine. Veltro was able to achieve a top speed of 640km/h thanks to the powerful V12, which Fiat also manufactured under licence. It was fast, agile, and well-armed with two 12.7 mm machines guns on the nose, as well as 2 x 20 mm turret cannons at the wings. This made it able to fight with other fighters from the time, including the American P-51 Mustang. It entered service in early 1943 with Regia Aeronautica. It was operated by the Italian Social Republic, as well as the Co-Belligerent Air Force, from September 8 until the end. The majority of the planes were refurbished C.202s. Both up-engined MC.202s and proper MC.205s fought during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. They had been decommissioned from Italian service in 1947. The Egyptian Air Force used them until 1950. The kit is from Italeri. The Macchi M.C. The 2519 will be available in the first weeks of October. By adding additional parts, the differences between Folgore and this kit can be reproduced. From the auxiliary gear to the engine frame, the nose is a replica of the R.A.1050RC.58 (license-built version of the DB605). Photo-etched components are used to create a realistic finish on the cockpit, landing gear, landing gear bays, and machine guns. Three-dimensional decals for cockpit meters and decals in large sizes are provided to create the camouflage pattern. Both the rudders, tail ailerons and flaps are adjustable. The kit has a lot of features, so we’ve gotten all the information before it was released. The kit comes with five grey plastics sprues. Upper and lower wings and posable flying surfaces..

The eight (yes 8!) This kit includes eight (yes, 8!) colour profiles. This kit is a very good representation of what the real thing looks like.
