Ki-43 Hayabusa test Sprues
Arma Hobby released images of its first test sprues for their 1:72 Nakajima Ki-43 II Hayabusa tool.
Today we bring you some great news. The three molds required for the new Ki-43 Hayabusa kit in 1/72-scale – one each for gray sprues and transparencies — are nearly ready. Tooling is now at its final phase – the injection moulding test. The internal tests of our store system have also been completed successfully. This is it! The promotional pre-order will soon begin. All the components of the model kit are already in the moulds and we have finished our work. The tests have been going well. We decided to show some pictures from our test sprues. The test sprues are injected under low pressure and will naturally look different from the finished product. In the photos, you can clearly see that the models are very thin. The trailing edge of the wings, empennage and fine levers are all visible. This is proof we made them fine enough to give the model great detail. The engineers at the tooling shop will now fine-tune both the runners as well as the liquid hot plastic injection itself to ensure that the kit’s finest details are cast in metal without flash or short shots.
That is why we are about to start the pre-order of the kit, combined with very cool promotions!
