The topic: the Kubelwagen Type 82/3. The Type 82/3 is an armored version of Volkswagen Kubelwagens (Pkw.K1 type 82). The “Panzerattrape” was a decoy tank that was used to fool the enemy. It was flanked with simple metal structures which resembled a track of a tank, while the machine-gun-equipped turret on top was actually real. The real thing being used during training. Around 80-100 of these units, with their rotating turret and removable dummy track were produced. The pictures are of a vehicle that was recently auctioned in California.

The machine-gun-equipped turret allowed it to be used as a training vehicle. The new Meng kit. The kit is a modified version of the Type 82, with additional parts for this vehicle. Assembled kit dimensions are approximately 111mm long, 46mm wide, and 55mm high. The assembly will be extremely difficult, and small pieces may even break because of insufficient strength. Meng, having carefully considered the design, decided to abandon it. It features a snap-fit design. The front axle faithfully reproduces the structure of the actual vehicle and uses a snap-fit design for easy assembly.
