Trumpeter’s Tiger II Announcement Changed to Late Production Tiger I
Trumpeter’s October release announcement for an early production Tiger II, specifically Fgst.Nr.280009, has been changed to a late production Tiger I. This news was confirmed by the company on their social media channels.
The reason for the change is unclear, but it is possible that Trumpeter decided to focus on the Tiger I instead of the Tiger II due to its popularity among modelers. The Tiger I was one of the most iconic tanks of World War II, and it is still widely popular today.
The Tiger I features a number of improvements over the early production model, including a thicker turret armor, a new transmission, and a simplified suspension system. The late production Tiger I was also equipped with a more powerful engine, which gave it a higher top speed.
Trumpeter’s 1/16 scale Tiger I kit is expected to be released in early November.
