The new Jet Provost T.3/T.3a in 1/72nd Scale is a stunning addition to Airfix’s range of RAF Training Aircraft models. The model features a detailed cockpit, different canopy positions, a choice of undercarriage and distinctive JP wing tip tanks. The Hunting Aircraft Jet Provost (BAC) will be a familiar aircraft for most RAF Pilots who served between 1960 and 1989. The Jet Provost, which was the backbone of RAF training for pilots during this time, was distinguished by its wide fuselage profile. This allowed for a side-by-side cockpit configuration that was relatively spacious. The Jet Provost was withdrawn from all training establishments in the UK during the early 1990s after over 30 years of excellent training service.
