The Chieftain is a British main battle tank of the second generation, developed in late 1950s. Between the 1960s to the 1980s it was the main weapon of the British Army. It had many variations. This tank, which was designed to prioritize firepower and armor, was fitted with the most advanced 120mm L11A5 gun available at the time. Chieftain became famous for its excellent gun performance. Cast armor was used on the hull front and turret. Starting with Mk10, the tanks received additional protection from Stillbrew armor. This MENG TS 051 1/35 British Main Battle Tank Chieftain Mk10 kit is an exact replica of the actual tank. Stillbrew composite armour is broken down after its installation on a real vehicle. Digital sculpting is used to design the gun mantlet and thermal sleeve. The horizontal spring suspensions and shock absorbers have been accurately reproduced. Infrared searchlight is constructed internally. Included are single-pin track workables that can be assembled easily. You can build all crew hatches open or closed.
