Production began of M2 Infantry Fighting Vehicles in 1980. In 1996, an improved version of the M2A2 ODS was developed based on the 1991 Gulf War. The M2A2 ODS was equipped with the latest electronics including a digital compass sensor, GPS, and a missile countermeasure device. CIP (Combat Identification Panel), developed after friendly fire incidents during the Gulf War, was attached to the sides of the M2A2 ODS. In March 2003 M2A2 ODS attached to the 3rd Armored Infantry Division was at the frontline in the Iraq War. The Model features: * Overall length 193mm. * Replicated laser range finder and GPS antenna. Two 25mm cannons are available. Tracks with high-quality pads. Both sides and rear CIP are attached. There are many extras, including sleeping bags and alice packs. Half-figures of the commander and gunner wearing body armor are included. * Decals for 3 different vehicles deployed to Iraq and 3 different vehicles deployed on NATO operations.
