Takom Reveals Special Edition Tiger I Kit Dedicated to Otto Carius

Takom has just revealed a special edition Tiger I kit dedicated to Otto Carius, one of the most successful tank commanders of all time. The kit is expected to be released in late 2023.

The kit will feature a number of new and improved features, including:

• A highly detailed Zimmerit coating
• New photo-etched parts for the exhaust grille and other details
• New metal tracks
• New decals for a variety of Otto Carius’s Tiger I tanks
• A special box with artwork depicting Carius’s tank in action

Takom Tiger I Limited Edition

Otto Carius was one of the most successful tank commanders in World War II. He commanded a Tiger I tank and destroyed over 200 enemy vehicles during his career. He was also a highly decorated soldier, earning the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves, Swords, and Diamonds.

Takom’s new Tiger I kit dedicated to Otto Carius is expected to be highly detailed and accurate. It will include all the necessary parts to build a replica of Carius’s famous tank, including the Zimmerit anti-magnetic mine paste that was applied to the tank’s hull.

The kit also includes a 1/35 figure of Carius himself and a range of accessories such as barrels, petrol drums, buckets and helmets.
